An Anglo/Australian co-production which is part mystery and part psychological drama, highlighting the threat to the environment posed by the insatiable greed of corporate business.

 

The multi-layered story, set in Townsville, Australia, in 2020, was inspired by a true story in which an estate-agent was duped by some North Islanders into believing they were serious about the purchase of a costly resort on Magnetic Island. The deal proved to be a hoax, and in the film turns estate agent David Doyle’s life upside down. Townsville moves on like a rollercoaster as Doyle unravels the web of intrigue that surrounds this contemporary tale about the subjugation of public good by private and corporate greed.
